Yoga and Movement Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a collaborative experience between the client (you), and the guide (me). It uses a blend of Eastern yogic and Western tools to approach you as a whole person - body, mind, spirit - and lead you toward self-empowerment and healing. It is a balanced approach to health and well-being, and is often innovative, sometimes spontaneous, and always individual to your unique story and needs. Sessions could include yoga poses, breathing techniques, meditation, relaxation, and more.

Ayurvedic Consultation

Ayurveda means the “science of life” in Sanskrit. It is a holistic health and healing system based on the rhythm and elements of the natural world. In an Ayurvedic consultation, I will ask you questions related to your lifestyle in order to determine your Vikruti (imbalance of constitution). With this information, we will craft an accessible plan consisting of achievable practices and resolutions that will support you in a balanced and harmonious lifestyle. This can be combined with any yoga therapy regimen.

  • Yoga therapy is fitting for many individuals and many reasons. It’s a great place for anyone who wants to learn more about their mind and body, who wants preventative and/or complementary care to physical therapy, psychotherapy, or medical care, or who wants an objective “other.” If you want to take steps toward healing and self-knowing at a holistic level, give it a try!

  • All of my services require a 60-90 minute intake session. I will send you a intake form to fill out on your own and then we will go over it at our intake session. The thoroughness of the intake is up to you, but the more thorough and honest you are the more focused, deep, and effective our time together will be. Topics include any areas of pain or injury, individual and family history, prior experience with yoga/mindfulness, and more.

  • All of the information you share with me is strictly confidential, unless otherwise required by law. I follow the Code of Ethics as listed by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

  • No. I am highly trained in my field and I stay within the scope of my qualifications. If you require the attention of another licensed professional, I will recommend someone in my network. I have effectively collaborated with other wellness professionals to enhance and support healing regimens. That being said, you can soley work with me for any issue that does not require another suitable professional. My clients are generally a mix of those seeing other professionals and those only seeing me.
